When you think of BARNS OUTFITTERS, the image is often "heavy and tough." However, a new item that goes completely against that image is launching in the Spring/Summer 2026 (26SS) season.
This middleweight sweatshirt fabric, named "Comfy," is loosely knitted to achieve a softness and drape that is almost like a T-shirt.
Since it features a French terry (unbrushed) lining, it can be used for a long period—as an inner layer during the cold Autumn/Winter season and as a single layer in early spring.
The design is a collegiate design inspired by a pop club team mascot character.

"BAYSIDE SCHOOL"

The pop design of the bee, reminiscent of retro American animation from the 1950s and 60s, serves as the mascot for a club team at a fictional school located along a bay coast. Bees are often used as a symbol of unity and aggression, which reflects the characteristics of this club team.
This design incorporates the mascot of that fictional club team into a collegiate style.
The printing technique used is wash-out for the Ivory and Gray colorways, while cracking is used for the Charcoal colorway, creating distinct vintage textures.

The wide armholes provide a relaxed, comfortable wearing experience.
