The city of Fussa in Tokyo, about 40 km from the center of the city, has a somewhat American atmosphere, partly due to the Yokota Air Base. NORTH WORKS is a workshop and atelier in a renovated U.S. military house, where they continue to create products with unchanging value based on basic designs. Each item is made by hand, so each piece has a slightly different face, which becomes the flavor of the item. Created out of deep respect for the Native American tribes and silver silversmiths who have been central to our brand since its inception, BARNS OUTFITTERS presents a necklace lavishly crafted with rare antique beads dating back to around the 1920s, featured in this special collaboration series.

Handcrafted individually by skilled artisans using rare antique beads from around the 1920s. Each bead varies in color, shape, and size, giving the piece its own distinct character. While celebrating the subtle irregularities unique to handmade craftsmanship, the beads are thoughtfully balanced to create a seamless look.
Designed for versatile styling, it can be worn as a classic necklace or wrapped two to three times around the wrist to function as a bracelet—allowing you to adapt your look depending on your mood. The White colorway incorporates black beads for a contrasting accent, while the American Sax features a vibrant mix of multi-colored beads. The Grey, Black, Navy, and Red options are styled in monochromatic tones, each offering a distinct aesthetic to enjoy.

The clasp features a custom hook fashioned from a 10¢ vintage coin. True to NORTH WORKS’ signature aesthetic, the use of authentic vintage coinage delivers a rich, handcrafted finish.
