North Beach is a historic district in San Francisco, California, widely known as the city's "Little Italy." This neighborhood is famously home to the City Lights Bookstore, the legendary epicenter of the 1950s Beat Generation. Noding to this iconic locale, the fluid, undulating layout of the "NORTH BEACH" graphic delivers the nostalgic charm of a vintage souvenir piece. To enhance the heritage feel, we tailored the printing techniques to match each body color: a soft, faded wash-out print for the White, and an authentic, textured crack print for the Black.
