In Japan, the drizzler jacket gained popularity in the 1960s alongside the Ivy League fashion trend and has since become a staple light outerwear piece in American casual style. For this version, BARNS OUTFITTERS has reimagined the standard item using cozy boa fabric, transforming it into a warm outer layer suitable for winter wear.

"Combining Lightness and Warmth"

While boa jackets often look warm, many have fully lined interiors, which can make the sleeves feel tight and restrict movement. To address this, this version features a lining inspired by 1970s outerwear, characterized by a slightly glossy, “retro” finish. In the original design, the collar could be stood up and fastened with a chin strap to create a stand collar. In this updated version, the zipper extends all the way to the top of the collar, allowing it to be worn as a high-neck jacket for added versatility.
