An original TSURIAMI fabric made with great care from the yarn on. The greatest feature is the coexistence of the softness that can only be achieved by TSURIAMI machine, which slowly knits the fabric while allowing plenty of air in, and the firmness that comes from knitting with a tighter stitch. The silhouette is a timeless standard silhouette. It’s crafted to be the perfect everyday piece. This surprisingly rare crew-neck cardigan features a binder finish, enhancing its durability.

The raglan sleeves increase the range of motion and reduce stiffness around the shoulders when wearing an outer garment, and the four-needle flat-seam stitching makes for a completely stress-free garment.

The Loopwheel Machine — a relic from the Taisho era, developed nearly a century ago in Japan. Suspended from beams, this unique knitting machine lets fabric fall and gather under its own weight as it is slowly and gently knit. Producing just 10 meters of fabric per day, the loopwheel method was deemed inefficient and gradually phased out in favor of faster sinker machines. Today, only a handful remain — fragile, difficult to maintain, and with spare parts nearly impossible to find. Their days are numbered. Yet, there is nothing quite like the fabric they produce.
