A defining feature of classic vintage tees is seamless side construction, known as tubular or "tube" body. Since it required no side seams and was well-suited for mass production, tubular construction was standard for American T-shirts back in the day. Over time, however, side-seam construction became the norm to accommodate a wider variety of fits and sizes.
To recreate the authentic feel of those vintage classics, the TUBE T-shirt series returns this year—crafted with 16-gauge BD open-end yarn, seamless tubular construction, and a rich, faded finish achieved through pigment dyeing.

Tex-Mex cuisine originated in Texas, blending Mexican immigrant flavors with a bold American twist. Famous for hearty, high-volume fast-food favorites like chili con carne, nachos, and burritos, it remains a beloved local classic.
Inspired by the uniforms of a fictional neighborhood Tex-Mex spot cherished for its unpretentious charm, this graphic captures a cheerful Latin vibe featuring sombreros and guitar-playing cacti. To suit each body color, custom print techniques were chosen: a washed-out print for White, a crack print for Black and Blue, and a pigment print for Khaki.

Rather than the binder neck construction frequently used by BARNS OUTFITTERS, this tee features a simple 2-needle coverstitch collar. It is small, intentional details like this that truly evoke the atmosphere of the era.
