At the heart of this collection is the "Cozun" (small-diameter) knitting machine—an essential piece of heritage equipment that allows us to knit heavy-weight fabric at an incredibly slow and deliberate pace.
This process is fundamental to the rugged, "tough" manufacturing that defines our brand identity.
While our classic-fit staples continue to enjoy unwavering popularity for their timeless appeal, the true magic of the "COZUN" series lies in its evolution.
As you wear it, the dense fabric gradually softens and conforms to your body, maturing into a one-of-a-kind garment that tells your own story.
For the 2026 season, we have introduced a vintage-inspired piece that reinterprets the retro two-tone raglan sleeve. By taking this nostalgic aesthetic and refining it with a modern silhouette, we’ve created an item that feels both authentically classic and perfectly suited for today’s style.

"SPEED RACE MOTOCROSS"

Motocross is a thrilling motorcycle sport where riders race at high speed on unpaved off-road circuits.
Whether traversing natural terrain or navigating artificial tracks, the courses feature challenging sections designed to test a rider's skill, including jumps, rhythm sections (consecutive bumps), and sharp, bermed turns.
Inspired by this high-octane environment, we have developed a bold, impactful design based on a souvenir item from a fictional motocross championship series.
To ensure the authentic feel, we utilized a "wash-out" printing technique, achieving a faded, textured finish that is indistinguishable from true vintage.

Raglan sleeves—often used in sports and training wear—offer both functional and aesthetic benefits.
They allow for greater ease of movement in the shoulders and arms and make dressing easier, while the less defined shoulder line also helps minimize the appearance of shoulder width.

The round-body construction with no side seams provides a clean look and stress-free comfort.

The stitching throughout features color-coordinated threads that match the neck and sleeves.
A subtle detail, but one that reflects careful attention to craftsmanship.

"COZUN"

The COZUN knitting machine was made by improving an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine that was used during the transitional period from loopwheel knitting machines to high-speed sinker knitting machines. It has the unique characteristics of an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine, combining the softness of a loopwheel knitting machine with the firmness of a sinker knitting machine. It has been a staple at BARNS OUTFITTERS for many years.
