This is a standard item produced with the unique production background of BARNS OUTFITTERS, including a small-sized knitting machine for knitting heavyweight fabrics and flat seamer sewing using U.S. sewing machines. The "COZUN" series, which began with the development of fabrics that could withstand flat seaming without layering, is a piece that can be worn for a long time with affection as the fabric becomes familiar to the body. Originally released two years ago as a web-exclusive color, and later as a seasonal color available at select retailers, the beloved Super Black now returns as a permanent, web-exclusive color. Unlike the faded black known as "Sumi Kuro" among our standard lineup, this version offers a deep, jet-black tone. Additionally, due to past production limitations, the long-awaited zip-up hoodie—previously not included in the lineup—has finally arrived.

"Classic details"

This model began with the development of a fabric that could withstand flat seamer sewing and has now become a fall/winter staple. A simple piece that allows you to enjoy the charm of BARNS OUTFITTERS to the fullest. By pursuing a simple, timeless design and pattern, we have created a three-dimensional silhouette and a firm hood that stands up nicely, creating a presence that sets it apart from other hoodies.

The zipper is sewn with the advanced sewing technique called “Isekomi” to prevent the zipper line from waving. In addition, the slider is a BARNS OUTFITTERS original specification.

Flat seamer sewing is gentle against the skin for stress-free wear. A gusset is placed under the armpits, recreating vintage details.

The cuffs and hem are dyed to match the body, creating a cohesive, unified look.

The front features a kangaroo pocket, making it convenient to go out hands-free for quick outings.

The thick, fluffy fabric has been hand-brushed by artisans to keep you warm even in the harsh cold of midwinter.

"COZUN"

The COZUN knitting machine was made by improving an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine that was used during the transitional period from loopwheel knitting machines to high-speed sinker knitting machines. It has the unique characteristics of an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine, combining the softness of a loopwheel knitting machine with the firmness of a sinker knitting machine. It has been a staple at BARNS OUTFITTERS for many years.
