"NORTH WORKS × BARNS OUTFITTERS special collaboration items"
The city of Fussa in Tokyo, about 40 km from the center of the city, has a somewhat American atmosphere, partly due to the Yokota Air Base. NORTH WORKS is a workshop and atelier in a renovated U.S. military house, where they continue to create products with unchanging value based on basic designs. Each item is made by hand, so each piece has a slightly different face, which becomes the flavor of the item. This bangle, which features a large eye motif created by hammering the material from the reverse side, is part of a special collaborative Indian Jewelry series commissioned by BARNS OUTFITTERS. This series pays respect to the various Native American tribes and silversmiths who have been a central influence on the brand since its beginning.

"Protective Eye"
Since ancient times, decorative items featuring an "eye" motif have been believed to serve as protection against evil. It was thought that misfortune could be caused by the gaze of others, such as envy or jealousy, and the eye motif was used as a means to ward off such malevolent glances. Additionally, in Native American life, arrows were essential for hunting and combat, and the arrow motif is believed to act as a talisman. Wearing accessories with arrow motifs was thought to help repel evil and provide protection.

The inside is stamped with the logos of both BARNS OUTFITTERS and NORTH WORKS. Each stamp is applied by hand, resulting in a one-of-a-kind finish unique to every piece.

【NORTH WORKS】
With vintage American coins as its core, the company incorporates the beauty of materials collected from around the world into basic designs, and continues to produce unchanging products by hand.
