Thanks to switching to a side-seam construction, we are now able to produce sizes that previously couldn’t be made due to knitting machine limitations! Sizes M–XL remain in the traditional tubular (seamless) construction.

"The 2025 Season colors have arrived"

This is a standard item produced with the unique production background of BARNS OUTFITTERS, including a small-sized knitting machine for knitting heavyweight fabrics and flat seamer sewing using U.S. sewing machines. The "COZUN" series, which began with the development of fabrics that could withstand flat seaming without layering, is a piece that can be worn for a long time with affection as the fabric becomes familiar to the body. Two colors are now available: black, first introduced in last year’s Spring/Summer season, and the ever-popular khaki. A versatile piece finished with pigment dyeing, it offers unique aging and character over time.

「Our Cozun knitting method」
This method utilizes a small-size knitting machine modeled after the traditional loopwheel machines used during the Taisho-era (1912-1926). This machine operates at a much more moderate speed and at a far lower degree of tension compared to its modern counterparts. This is a truly premium knitting machine, of which only a few exist in the world, which we use to create our supremely soft knit garments.

"Classic Detail"

This simple piece maximizes the appeal of BARNS OUTFITTERS, which started with the development of fabrics that could withstand flat seaming and has now become a year-round staple. The “double V gusset,” originally a detail of vintage sweatshirts, is expressed in the cut and sewn fabric to create a classic piece.

Flat seamer sewing is gentle against the skin for stress-free wear.

The ribbing is dyed in the same color as the body, allowing you to enjoy its aging process over time as well.

The round-body construction with no side seams provides a clean look and stress-free comfort.

"COZUN"

The COZUN knitting machine was made by improving an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine that was used during the transitional period from loopwheel knitting machines to high-speed sinker knitting machines. It has the unique characteristics of an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine, combining the softness of a loopwheel knitting machine with the firmness of a sinker knitting machine. It has been a staple at BARNS OUTFITTERS for many years.
