Before the 1990s, many vintage American T-shirts were made using a tubular knit with no side seams—a style known as “round body.” These were ideal for mass production, as they didn’t require side seam stitching and were often used as the base for affordable, American-made tees at the time. However, adjusting the body width on tubular machines was not easy, which eventually led to a shift toward side-seamed construction that allowed for more flexibility in sizing. This T-shirt faithfully reproduces that classic American vintage style using a tubular knit (no side seams). As part of our Fall/Winter 2025 collection launch, it comes in versatile, all-season colors and is finished with BARNS OUTFITTERS signature pigment dyeing, giving it a worn-in look with timeless appeal. A simple yet playful design featuring a gradient "CALIFORNIA" graphic.

It's also home to major cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco, where countless cultures and subcultures have flourished. This piece draws inspiration from classic California souvenir items, blending a retro feel with a modern edge. The "CALIFORNIA" graphic features a subtle gradient that adds a resort-like vibe while keeping things stylish and urban. To match the look with texture, each colorway uses a different printing technique: a washed-out print for white, half rubber for black, and a cracked rubber print for navy.

The neckline features a clean and simple binder neck construction that not only looks great but also offers excellent durability.
