"Heavyweight T-shirt Made with 14-count Yarn"

Vintage T-shirts from before the 1990s were often made with a "tubular" design, meaning they had no side seams. This construction was ideal for mass production, as it eliminated the need to sew the side seams, making it perfect for inexpensive American-made T-shirts at the time. However, to adjust the width of the shirt, it was necessary to modify the knitting machine, which led to the gradual shift towards side-seam construction for easier adjustments in fit. Now, we've faithfully recreated this classic American vintage style using the original tubular design. For the Spring/Summer 2025 season, a new design inspired by the world's most famous UFO incident. This design features the Gray alien, based on the legendary event in Roswell, the town where the famous UFO crash is said to have occurred.

In basketball, when a clutch shot is made in the final seconds to win the game, or in soccer when a super goal is scored, the commentator often exclaims "GOAT!" in excitement to praise the incredible play. While "GOAT" literally translates to "goat" in English, it’s commonly used as a slang acronym for "Greatest of All Time," meaning "the best ever." This T-shirt, with its heavyweight fabric and just-right fit that isn’t too loose, has become a standout item in BARNS OUTFITTERS’ history, earning the affectionate nickname "G.O.A.T Tee." It has earned its place as one of the brand's greatest creations. The neck features a simple binder neck design, adding to its timeless appeal.

Following the success of last year’s UFO series, this design returns for 2025. The Roswell Incident, one of the most famous UFO events in the world, began when the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) announced the recovery of a flying saucer from a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. Witnesses later claimed that aliens had been recovered and autopsied, with even footage of the autopsy being released—though it was later determined to be a hoax. Despite the investigation, the truth remains elusive, adding to the ongoing mystery of the event. In this updated design, the Gray alien from that event is reimagined in a pop art style, now riding the flying saucer over the streets of Roswell. For the print, a sublimation technique is used for the white body, and crack rubber is applied to the blue body, giving it a vintage, worn look that adds character to the graphic.
