"Vintage-like T-shirt"

One of the most common features of vintage T-shirts is called "Marudo", which has no seams on the sides. This was because it was suitable for mass production as there was no need to sew the sides, and most of the American-made T-shirts of the time were of the "Marudo (round body) = TUBE" specification. In order to reproduce the items of those days, the loose specification using the machine that can knit the widest body width among those in operation in Japan is also available this year from the "TUBE T-shirt" series, which expresses the fade feeling by the specification of the round body and pigment dyeing. The print is a simple yet playful design with a gradation of "CALIFORNIA".

"Wide silhouette"

The first step in the production of the body was to find a machine capable of knitting a wide silhouette with a round body. Pigment dyeing was then applied to give the garment a vintage look. The neck is finished with a matching taco binder, which is a good way to keep the vintage look and feel while preventing the neck from stretching out.

It is hard to find a round body with such a large width. The relaxed silhouette is perfect for midsummer.

The print is a simple California logo, but the gradation of different color densities adds a gimmicky effect.

The fabric is made without any seams on the sides, called "Marudo", and is used as it is. The tubular body is soft against the skin and allows for stress-free wearing.

A slit is placed at the hem to create a difference in length between the front and back. This is a piece that is packed with attention to detail.

In order to reproduce the American-made T-shirts of the time, we were particular in selecting a fabric that is dry and crisp. Pigment dyeing was also applied to reproduce the faded look characteristic of old clothes.
