The new color for the 24AW season is khaki, which has a characteristic dull color that is easy to match.

This is our original hanged knitting fabric, which we have carefully selected from the yarn. The greatest feature of this fabric is the coexistence of softness and firmness, which can only be achieved by a hang knitting machine that knits the fabric slowly and with plenty of air. The “hanging knitting machine” was developed about 100 years ago in the Taisho era (1912-1926). The machine is suspended from a beam, and the weight of the knitted fabric accumulates under the machine. Also, because of the difficulty of maintenance and procurement of parts in case of breakdowns due to the old machines, they are very rare knitting machines that will eventually disappear. However, the unique softness and firmness of the knitted fabric, which is created by slowly adding air and minimizing stress on the fabric, is a characteristic of hang knitting that cannot be found anywhere else, and has been a staple at BARNS OUTFITTERS for many years.
