"The Basic Item"
Chino pants are a classic staple in American casual wear. Originally, chinos referred to pants made of twill fabric, mainly woven from cotton and polyester, called chino cloth, which was used in the uniforms of the British and French armies around the 19th century. It is said that they came to be called chino cloth because the American military stationed in the Philippines during World War I procured fabric for military uniforms from China. Because they are very durable, they are often used as work clothes, and can now be said to be an indispensable casual item. This basic item that everyone has probably worn at least once is now available in T/C twill, a staple of workwear.

"Classic look and comfortable fit"
These chinos have a classic look based on 50's travel slacks. This basic pair of pants is finished with no pleats for a casual look and will match any BARNS OUTFITTERS item. The waist has an adjustable button so you don't need a belt if you choose the right size. Of course, there are belt loops so you can use them according to your preference.
It features slash pockets designed for trousers, giving it a thoroughly basic look.
The gusseted crotch at the crotch increases the range of motion and makes it easier to move your legs. The fabric is strong but not very stretchy, so we've made it easy to wear.
The back pockets are double welt pockets with a button on only one side, in pursuit of a basic chino pant look.
The fabric, called T/C twill, is an acronym for Tetron (polyester) and cotton, and is wrinkle-resistant and soft to the touch, making it the best of both worlds. Furthermore, the durable twill weave makes it tough enough to be used, so it is also used in workwear.
