An item that was introduced last year as part of a set-up, now reappears with an updated fabric. As the name "Seafarer" suggests, this piece is inspired by the deck parka worn by deckhands in the US NAVY in the 1940s, and has been reimagined into a more versatile shirt-jacket style. This year, we've chosen chino fabric, making it even more rugged and easy to wear compared to last year.

While keeping the original 1940s US NAVY-inspired details such as the center seam hood and the stand collar to prevent wind intrusion when the hood's button is undone, the design also focuses on practicality for everyday wear, with features like wider armholes and pockets integrated into the body. By blending military elements with streetwear, a unique BARNS HIGHEST reinterpretation is created.

To eliminate bulk around the shoulders when wearing thick layers, we’ve incorporated wider armholes. This allows for comfortable wear even with thicker inner layers, such as sweatshirts with a brushed interior.

The chest pocket is made larger to serve as an accent. The side pocket’s fabric pouch is integrated with the body, allowing for ample storage. It’s designed to be practical and easy, so you can go out with your hands free for a casual outing.

The hem features a drawstring, which not only helps to prevent wind from entering but also allows you to cinch it for a more modern boxy silhouette with a shorter length.

The fabric is made of chino cloth. While it has a sturdy texture, it also allows you to enjoy the natural aging process, as the fabric softens and its character improves with wear.
